Our production was established in the center of duck and goose production on 20.000 m2. Our sewing shop, or the spring processing and filling line are under one roof, so we can effectively check the quality criteria.
The production of down products is a particularly complex process that requires the highest precision. Both cutting, sewing, down processing and filling require extensive expertise. We are fortunate to have several trained seamstresses and professionals with decades of experience on our team. We organize our production based on Swedish and German know-how and according to strict criteria.
The two main components of our comforter and pillow products are the cover and the filling material. Our covers are made of high quality, tightly woven 100% cotton and certified according to OEKO-TEX Standard 100. All our covers are down-proof, which includes even the smallest down. They retain their original state for a long time and remain beautiful and soft.
We are very proud of our filling materials. The down filling we use is the result of several years of searching for down with excellent quality and ethical, verifiable origin. Unlike the cheap Asian down that has flooded the market in recent years, the Hungarian duck and goose down we use retains its flexibility, filling power (filling power) and insulating ability for a uniquely long time.
In recent years, low-quality down fillings from Asia have entered the market. These filling materials have questionable origin with a misleading label and lose their flexibility and insulating properties extremely quickly. Their properties are far behind the quality of the filling materials from the Hungarian duck and goose down we use.
The traceability of the filling material is ensured by the HDTS, Hungarian Down Tracking System. Each of our products is marked with a unique QR code that can be scanned to provide you with detailed information about the origin and quality of the filling material.
Respect and appreciation towards animals is not only an ethical but also a traditional approach for us, which characterizes the centuries-old history of duck and goose breeding in Hungary. The quality of the plumage is directly influenced by the welfare and health of the animals. It is important to know that feathers and down are by-products of meat processing. An animal is never processed just for its plumage.
Ethical sourcing means the purity of the supply chain. It ensures that all its members comply with the European Union’s strictest animal welfare and hygiene standards from farm to finished product. We never use down from force-fed and plucked animals. The down we use is SafeDown certified, which ensures compliance with European standards.
